Mississippi Sending Hurricane Help

Mississippi is sending more help to Florida in the wake of Hurricane Michael. Search and rescue teams, power company crews and relief organizations are all doing their part — and now a couple of National Guard helicopter crews are standing by to assist. It’s the same Guard unit from Meridian that sent two of its heavy-lift helicopters to the Carolinas after Hurricane Florence last month. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency expects additional state resources to be deployed to Florida during the long recovery process.
