The Memphis Police Department is now using new technology to pinpoint exactly where and when gunshots go off – anywhere in the city. The new ShotSpotter technology allows dispatchers to send officers to an area within seconds of thge gunshots going off. The program is being funded by a half million follar grant from the federal government.
