Unofficial results from Tuesday’s election show Horn Lake Ward 6 alderman John Jones has lost to primary challenger Robby Dupree. The results counted last night show 153 votes for Dupree and 113 for Jones in the Republican primary. Two other seats on the Horn Lake board will have to be decided in a runoff contest because none of the candidates received a simple majority. That means voters will have to return to the polls to decide the at-large seat. Danny Klein received the most vote, with 525. Chad Engelke was second, with 326, and Regina Morris was third, with 202. Morris will be eliminated and Engelke and Klein will face off against each other. For the Democrats, William Egner defeated Francis Miller 264 to 235. In Ward 4, incumbent CHarlie Roberts defeated David Young 64-55, but George Dixon also received 20 votes. The winner of that runoff will face Democrat Lisa Haynes, who did not have an opponent int he primary.
