New details in the shooting of a Southaven Police Officer. The suspect is now in custody. The officer was shot in Memphis and then fled to Arkansas in a stolen patrol car. 28 year-old Cody Dimmett, of Marietta, Georgia, was captured by poclie near Palestine, Arkansas after a search of about six hours. The shooting took place whe Officer Roy Hurst began following Dimmett from Southaven into Memphis. Hurst noticed the license plate ont he car Dimmett was driving indicated that Dimmett was wanted by authorities in Georgia for a shooting in Marietta last week.
