A crime study siuggests Memphis has the higest buymber of burglaries per capita in the entire country. The study by a firm called Porch looked at FBI statistics that show an average of 1,384 burglaries per 100-thousand residents every year. Nationally, there are 422 burglaries per 100-thousand people. The study also showed a downward trend in burglaries nationally, but not in Memphis.
