Children under the age of 12 can now get a COVID-19 vaccine shot in Shelby County. The SHelbby County Health Department is now giving first doses of the vaccine to children ages 5 to 11 at the immunization clinic at the health department headquarters. These are the Pfizer shots. St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital was one of 100 sites nationwide to take part in the vaccine trial over the lats few months.
