Kellogg’s Workers Return To Work After 11-Week Strike

Kellogg’s workers in Memphis are returning to their jobs after an 11 week strike. A new contract agreement will provide for new benefits for the rank and file workers, which includes cost of living wage adjustments for everyone, and a graduatioin rate giving workers a chance to reach the pay rate of a sex plus year employee. Local union leadership called the deal a good thing for new employees. The Memphis Kellogg’s plant produces about 85 percent of the entire world’s corn flakes, Frosted Flakes, and Rice Krispies cereals.
