Airport Artwork Sparks Controversy

One month after a remodeled Concourse B at Memphis International Airport, one of the pieces of art has been taken down from public view over controversy. The airport worked with the UrbanArt Commission in selecting the more than 40 works of art for the new terminal. A piece called Constellations VII/Golden Fields by Tommy Kha depicts Elvis Presley as Asian. Airport President and CEO Scott Brockman said Monday that he received a lot of negative feedback about the piece.
