Federal labor officials are chiming in regarding the firing of 7 Starbucks employees in Memphis. The National Labor Relatioons Board on monday confirmed that it believes the Memphis 7 were fired by Starbucks illegally. In February, the 7 workers successfully organized labor union representation. A few days later, they were fired for what the company said was holding a meeting inside the store after hours with non-employees. Starbucks employees nationwide have begun to organize labor unions. A store in New York City was the first to do so earlier this year.
