The developer of a housing subdivision at the edge of Hernando is donating some land near Getwell Road and Holly Springs Road for a new fire station. Town Supervisor Michael Lee said the county and members of the Bridgetown Fire Department will tour the site today with the developer, Burke Hendrix. Hendrix broke ground last year on his 12 million dollar Short Forks Farm development on about 860 acres of land that will include 600 new homes and some retail space.
