The Memphis COmmunity Schools superintendent is responding to mounting calls for his resignation. Dr. Joris Ray on Tuesday touted the district;s success under his leadership the last three years. He says he’s gotten smaller class sizes, retained more teachers, and revamped the approach to a tech program that has certified 6-thousand teachers in his three years on the job. Ray said it’s important to continue leading through distractions.
