West Memphis Police To Hire More Officers With Federal Grant

The West Memphis Police Department has received a 1.7 million dollar federal grant to add more police officers. Police Chief Robin Campbell says the money will help public safety by allowing the department to become adequately staffed. He adds that he would like to add a real-time crime center to the West Memphis Police Department. The grant lasts three years and covers 75 percent of the new officer’s salaries.
