Memphis Shelby County Schools officials are detailing damaged caused to facilities during the December winter storm. As students returned to classes on Tuesday, crews continued to work to repair the damage left behind at 29 schools in the district. Much of the damage was in the form of broken water pipes, broken HVAC coils, or other damage caused by the power outages. The district says it’s tallied up around 300-thousand dollars in damage so far.
