Hernando leaders are continuing to tighten up regulations on food trucks. At their regular meeting this week, the board of mayor and aldermen heard a presentation from planning director austin cardosi, who said the city is attempting to prohibit food trucks from just “popping up anywhere.” The city will require food trucks to get a conditional use permit to operate. Part of that permit process would be a requirement for operators to attend a public hearing.
