DeSoto County Commissioners are moving to strictly enforce border laws, cracking down on students who attend schools within the county, but don’t live in the county. If a student is caught breaking the rules, their parents will face stiff fines. By far, the largest number of outside students come from Shelby County, but schools Chief operations officer Rob Chase said The DeSoto County Public School District is “getting hit from all sides.”
