Another Desoto County sheriff’s deputy WAS injured during a pursuit Wednesday night. The deputy had to be rused to the hospital, but is said to be doing fine today. Chief Deputy Justin Smith said the chase began in Walls, where a vehicle had been pulled over for a relatively minor traffic violation. Smith said the driver suddenyl bolted. Another deputy laid down spike strips to puncture the tires,. That deputy was injured when the car passed by and attempted to drive around the spikes.
