A deputy involved shooting in Southaven Wednesday morning. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has taken over the case after one man died in the shooting around 7am. DeSoto County sheriff’s deputies had reporteldy been making an arrest at a home on Clark Avenue when the man pointed a gun at them. The deputies responded by opening fire, killing the unnamed man. Family members at the scene identified the man as Demarcu Williams. No deputies were injured.
