A new public library branch is opening in West Memphis for the first time in more than 3 decades. West Memphis Mayor Marco McLendon says that the grand opening will be today. The library is about twice the sixe of the old library that closed many years ago. It also features a children’s play room, a gaming area for teens, and even a small cafeteria. The city is hoping the library will help kickstart other projects and improevements in West Memphis.
